Pelvic floor physical therapy helps you understand how your pelvic floor, hips, core, and breathing all work together. Many people with incontinence or pelvic pain have muscles that are either too tight, too weak, or not coordinating the way they should.

In PT, we look at your whole-body movement patterns, identify the root cause, and give you hands-on treatment plus a clear plan to rebuild strength, control, and comfort. The goal is simple: help you regain confidence in your body and get back to your normal life without fear or limitation.

Pelvic health physical therapy has grown rapidly in the last few years as research, training, and public awareness have expanded. Many people are surprised to learn these issues are treatable because they were never told about it by past providers.

You’re definitely not alone — once people discover pelvic PT, they often wish they’d known about it sooner.

Your first visit is one-on-one with your Doctor of Physical Therapy for a full hour.

We start with a detailed conversation about your symptoms, goals, workouts, and daily activities. Then we assess how your hips, core, posture, breathing, and pelvic floor function together.

If an internal pelvic floor exam is appropriate, we’ll explain exactly what it involves and only proceed with your full consent. You’ll leave with a clear plan, specific exercises, and a better understanding of what’s causing your symptoms and how we’ll fix them together.

Yes. You are absolutely welcome to come in during your period.

Bleeding does not prevent you from making progress, and there is no need to cancel unless you feel uncomfortable. We can modify your session in whatever way feels best for you.

Autoness PT is an out-of-network practice. This allows you to receive 60-minute, one-on-one treatment with a Doctor of Physical Therapy every session with no rushed visits, no aides, and no surprise bills.

Many patients use HSA/FSA funds or submit superbills for potential reimbursement. We’ll walk you through how to do this if needed.

In California, you can see a physical therapist without a prescription.

If your case requires collaboration with a physician or imaging, we’ll guide you through that process — but you do not need a referral to start care and begin feeling better.
